Pharmacy Patient Management

Healthcare. Responsive. Clean.

Project Synopsis

Healthcare is all to often a forgotten field when it comes to technological innovation. The biggest reason for this is just the time it takes a healthcare organization to start the process of change. Many hospitals are still running antiquated OS versions on hardware that has been obsolete for years. The reason: it still works, why fix it?

One customer came to us asking for more though. They wanted to build an industry leading, responsive, mobile-first application for managing patient medications in a hospice setting. They had an existing legacy application, but were ready to streamline their workflow and improve the efficiency of their existing product.

The new product allows for quick and easy management of patient profile information, creation of new prescriptions and management of existing ones. The new product makes discovering drug and allergy interactions a snap, and integrates with existing pharmacy management systems to feed data to medical professionals.

Project Requirements

Beautiful Responsive Design

For this application a striking, responsive design was actually a requirement. The hospice provider we worked for wanted to develop a product that stood out in their market and spoke their brand. Our designers worked hard to implement a design that met their needs and looked beautiful on every device.

Cross-Platform Deployment

Depending upon the needs of each of our clients, clients the application would need to be available via desktop web, mobile web, in-house MDM channels, or even native app stores. We used a build-once, deploy everywhere model to accomplish this goal.

Secure Access

Because this application is used by everyone from hospice nurses, to corporate executives, separating out the information and allowing easy management of access rules was paramount to the design.
